Transitional Work Corporation offers referred clients access training and benefits to help them enter or re-enter the work force to become more independent.
TWC's Philadelphia@Work program is a transitional jobs program designed to provide Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients with the motivation, skills, and experience they need to find and keep a full-time unsubsidized job.
Moving through the transitional work program, clients progress through three stages of the program, orientation, transition, and retention. During all of these stages, TWC staff is there to provide clients with the assistance needed to help get and keep a job.
Career Coaches assist clients from start to finish, documenting and tracking progress of the client throughout the program.
Client Advocates assist with major barriers preventing clients from getting and keeping a job. Barriers can include childcare, transportation, family life, healthcare, food, housing, and any other barriers that arise.
