Our services are designed to meet the entry-level staffing needs of businesses and other organizations in the Philadelphia area. We provide two kinds of employees: transitional (or temporary) and permanent. We build relationships with employers so that we can provide you with just the kind of staff that you need. And to be sure that a client will meet your organization’s needs, we screen every potential applicant before he or she walks through your doors. On top of all that, job placement services are free of charge and many businesses are eligible for tax credits if they hire TWC clients.
If you are interested in how TWC can be of service to your company or organization, please call 215-965-8140.
TWC provides job-ready employees, similar to interns, to government and nonprofit agencies in the City of Philadelphia for a period of up to 26 weeks (approximately six months). These well-trained and motivated employees are looking to gain valuable hands-on work experience for 25 hours per week. All transitional employees also spend 10 hours per week at TWC involved in professional development training designed to enhance their work-related skills. Each employer assigns a “work partner” to every transitional employee TWC provides. This work partner acts as a supervisor and mentor to the TWC client. Work partners receive a monthly compensation in the amount of $49.00, and attend at least one Work Partner Training session (held at TWC).
“We are pleased to have had the participation of the interns from the Transitional Work Corporation program. Those that have worked with us have been efficient, productive, easy to work with individuals, who we are glad to have met and hopefully educate.”
- Jim Moran, Work Partner and Director of PHILAPOSH
